Service Description

An introduction to modelling the figure in clay. No previous art experience is necessary. Anatomy, proportion, and gesture will be taught. Observation from life is emphasized as students will work from a live model. Also, the material of clay and various tools needed to render a sculpture will be used. Armature building and use will also be taught. At the end of the class, the sculptures will be fired in a kiln and will be able to be taken home. Please wear comfortable work clothes, closed toe shoes.
